Fight against counterfeiting of electronic components

External analysis of housing

This test routinely performed on the active components in transition via e-CrystalTrade, aims to fight against counterfeit chip (Components used or "makeup" for whatever reason).
This is for e-CrystalTrade to take a compound represented by the same batch to observe its external peculiarities. Although a non-destructive testing, e-CrystalTrade must extract the component from its original packaging in order to observe the main external features. Thus, e-CrystalTrade carry out the following observations:
  •     Sizes and thicknesses of the cases,
  •     Parallel and surface boxes,
  •     Marking of boxes,
  •     Front and Rear
  •     Typography and text
  •     Mechanical and chemical solderability
  •     Quality of terminals (pins Analysis of conventional microscopy).
Delivery Time: 24 Hours -  Cost of service: Included in the transaction

 X-ray analysis

This test, optionally, can be done at the request of the buyer of components. It is in addition to the external analysis of the case. This is for e-CrystalTrade to take a compound represented by the same batch to observe its internal singularities to the case through analysis of X-ray photographs. The analysis is concentrated on the following:
  •     Presence of the chip
  •     Quality of wiring
  •     Compliance with the standards of the manufacturer Leadframe
Analytical results and snapshots are recorded on a paper and sent to the buyer.
Although non-destructive, it should be noted that in some cases, the component must be removed from its original package in order to achieve this test correctly.

Delivery Time: 24 Hours |     Cost of service: 55 € HT

Opening of components

This test, optionally, can be done at the request of the buyer of components. This is for e-CrystalTrade to take a compound represented by the same lot, opening the component mechanically and chemically or by laser in order to observe the following:
  •     Presence of the chip, confirmation of the manufacturer and its reference
  •     Quality of wiring
  •     Compliance with the standards of the manufacturer Leadframe
  •     Aspect of Technology
  •     Traces of aging
  •     Observation IR backside: confirmation corrosion without opening the front
Analytical results and snapshots are recorded on a paper and sent to the buyer. This test is destructive. It is suitable for the buyer to assume that this component is unusable after tests
Delivery Time: 1 week |  Cost of service: 250 €

Solderability tests

This test, optionally, can be done on specific request of the buyer of components. This is for e-CrystalTrade to take a compound represented by the same batch, to visually observe the quality of the termination of the case, then the wiring to make the component taken to observe the quality of soldering in accordance with normative standards contained in the document IPC610-D.
The test is to ensure that the housing ends are free of chemical and mechanical weathering that may occur as surface oxidation.
Analytical results and snapshots are recorded on a paper and sent to the buyer. This test is destructive. It is suitable for the buyer to assume that this component is unusable after tests

Delivery Time: 1 week
Cost of service: To be defined case by case

Specific tests

The partnership built between e-CrystalTrade and Presto-engineering allows customers who wish to use a wide range of tests and analysis carried out daily and controlled by Presto-engineering. For example, it should list the following analytical skills:
  • Acoustic microscopy to analyze the "delamination" internal
  • Analysis of Advanced Technology: thickness, dimensions, type of metallurgy and dielectric structure transistors, mask, ...
  • Electrical tests: I / V, consistent with the functional datasheet
  • FTIR Analysis: Infrared Spectroscopy (resin composition)
  • Requalification Technology
Times and delivery costs are determined on a case by case basis.
